Provisioning Role is Deleted When Creating a Copy via Web Services

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to create a copy of an existing Provisioning Role (PR) using the CreateProvisioningRole task via SOAP Web Services (WS), the following behavior occurs:

• The new Provisioning Role is created successfully.
• The original (source) Provisioning Role is completely deleted from the system.

This issue typically occurs in environments where Provisioning Roles use Admin Role-based admin and ownership policies, leading users to use the CreateCopy function in WS to maintain these configurations ERROR in creation of a copy of provisioning role through WS

Resolution

Engineering team provided a hot fix to resolve this issue as part of defect DE664278. If you face the same issue then please create a support ticket and request for the fix.
