Issue/Introduction

The Infrastructure Health Adapter management pack triggers the alert “Objects are not receiving data from adapter instance,” and remains active in the Aria Operations UI as shown below:

 

 

 

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x

Cause

The Infrastructure Health Adapter attempts to collect data for vCenter Server licenses that are no longer in use or have expired. As these objects do not provide any telemetry, their collection status is marked as “No Data Receiving.”

Resolution

Follow the below action plan to resolve this issue.

1. Delete any old/expired certificate from the vCenter.
2. Remove the stale license objects from Inventory Management in Aria Operations by following the steps below:
   1. Navigate to Operations > Configurations > Inventory Management.
   2. Go to Object Statuses > No Data Receiving.
   3. Identify the stale license objects, select them, and click Delete from the Actions menu.
