Issue/Introduction
- When a virtual machine is created on a VMFS datastore, the hard disk provisioning type is displayed as "Thick Provision Lazy Zeroed" by default.
- This knowledge base article explains whether it is possible to change the default settings so that other provisioning types are displayed.

Resolution
It is not possible to change the default display type due to the implementation.
