Issue/Introduction

Uploaded NSX 4.2.3 installer binaries, but the installer does not show up as available for installation

Environment

VCF 9.x

Cause

Verified with the customer, the binary files were uploaded to the Fleet Manager appliance, and not the SDDC Manager.

while Fleet Manager handles cross-instance communication, the SDDC Manager remains the local authority for the bundled repository and Life Cycle Management (LCM).

Resolution

1. Remove the binaries from the Fleet Manager filesystem to reclaim space.

2. Upload the NSX 4.2.3 bundle directly to the SDDC Manager repository using the specialized bundle_bit directory or the VCF bundle upload utility.

3. Refresh the Bundle Management view in the VCF console.

The installer should now appear as "Available."
