How to Change vCenter Name in Aria Operation Inventory

Issue/Introduction

After configuring your Aria Operations environment it may be necessary to rename the vCenter Adapter instance for inventory purposes. 

Environment

VMware Aria Operations 18.x.x

Resolution

To rename the vCenter Server Adapter instance:

1. Navigate to Data Sources > Integrations.
2. Click on the Accounts tab.
3. Locate the vCenter Server adapter you wish to rename.
4. Click the vertical ellipsis (three dots) next to the adapter and select Edit.
5. In the Name field at the top, delete the old name and type in the new one.
6. Click Save.
