Issue/Introduction

Following a recent time change in Europe (Daylight Saving Time transition), alerts within DXO2 dashboards are displaying incorrectly, appearing exactly one hour behind the actual system time.

Environment
Application: DXO2 / DX Dashboards

Condition: Post-European time change

Cause

The affected DX Dashboards were configured with an incorrect data source. The dashboards were utilizing the All_Alarms data source, which relies on a standard timestamp field that did not accurately account for the regional time shift.

Resolution

To resolve the time discrepancy, the dashboard's data source must be updated to one that correctly maps the time field.

Steps to resolve:

  • Open the affected DX Dashboard in edit mode.
  • Locate the data source configuration for the affected alert panels or widgets.
  • Change the data source from All_Alarms to AIOps_Metadata_startTime.
  • Note: The AIOps_Metadata_startTime data source is specifically configured to use "start time" as the designated time field, which properly processes timezone rules and Daylight Saving Time changes.
  • Save the dashboard configuration.
  • Refresh the dashboard to verify that the alerts are now displaying the correct, current time.
