ERROR /usr/seos/lbin/SEOS_syscal.2204-5190Unsupported--UBX86_64.MP.ko does not exists

Environment

Ubuntu 22.04.02 LTS Kernel: 5.19.0-32-generic

PAMSC 14.1

Cause

PAMSC only supports Ubuntu Long Term Support (LTS) releases.

The Ubuntu version numbers follow a YY.MM format, representing the year and month of release, such as 22.04.  It means it was released in April 2022.  Ubuntu only releases in April and October., the second number in the version format is always 04 or10.  LTS are released every two years in April, such as 20.04, 22.04 or 24.04. LTS releases are the most stable and are supported for 5 years. In addition, October releases are usually interim releases that are only supported for 9 months.

The Linux kernel version on their Ubuntu 22.04 systems is 5.19.  The Linux kernel version of 22.04 LTS is 5.15, not 5.19.  Linux kernel 5.19 is from Ubuntu 22.10, so it is from an interim release.

We recommend customers to stay away from deploying non-LTS Ubuntu on their production systems.

Resolution

Please install PAMSC 14.1 C on LTS version with kernel : 5.15 that is stable version
