Rabbitmq: number of channels opened for user 'rabbit@xxx' has reached the maximum allowed user limit

Issue/Introduction

Customer found the following error message in the rabbitmq log:

number of channels opened for user 'rabbit@xxx' has reached the maximum allowed user limit of (2500)"

Environment

 

 

Cause

From the error message, it mentioned the user which was impacted. In fact, this was not the user and it was just the node name of the rabbitmq.

 

Resolution

R&D confirmed it was a bug and it will be fixed in 4.3.0 and 4.2.6
