Management alert "Objects are not receiving data from adapter instance" re-triggers even after deleting duplicate objects

Issue/Introduction

• Duplicate objects exist within Aria Operations inventory management.
• The alert "Objects are not receiving data from adapter instance" persists or re-triggers even after following the steps in the KB below to delete duplicates
  Delete duplicate objects from Aria/VCF Operations object inventory
• vCenter Server was recently restored.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x  

Cause

Objects are being incorrectly discovered due to the impact of the vCenter restore operation.
This behavior is causing the "Objects are not receiving data from adapter instance" alert to be repeatedly detected.

Resolution

If duplicate objects are recreated and alerts persist after deletion, reconfigure the adapter instance as described below and verify that the alerts no longer trigger.

1. Take a snapshot of Aria Operations.
   
   
2. Log in to Aria Operations and navigate to Administration > Integrations.
   
   
3. In the Accounts tab, locate the affected adapter instance, click the options icon, and select Delete.
   
   
4. When the Delete Account dialog appears, click DELETE button.
   
   
5. After the account is deleted, go to Administration > Integrations, click ADD button, and re-register the adapter instance you just removed.
