Issue/Introduction
After deployment of a VCF 9 instance there is a need to change the FQDN entered for a management appliance such as SDDC Manager or vCenter or ESX hosts.
The FQDN is changed and the environment no longer function as designed.
Connectivity of the appliance is lost and cannot be recovered.
Environment
VCF 9
Cause
The automation used within VCF 9 to create the constructs of the Management domain rely on FQDN.
Once the FQDN is entered and the deployment of the management appliances is completed**,** certificates are issued based on the entered FQDN.
Resolution
There is no supported method to change or modify the FQDN of the management appliances deployed in the management domain.
The change requires a complete redeployment of the VCF 9 instance.
