Issue/Introduction
- There are virtual machine folders/files on the datastore that have been confirmed to be both unregistered to any ESXi host and not in use.
Environment
ESXi 7.x
ESXi 8.x
Resolution
The target folders/files are to be deleted by following the procedure in "Using Datastore Browser in vSphere Environment."
Note:
- Deleted folders are completely removed from the datastore and cannot be rolled back using vSphere features.
- Please ensure that the deletion is performed only on files/folders that are completely unused.
