Windows based SpectroSERVER is experiencing disconnects from the network and unable to reach any devices. Cannot reach the underlying server via remote access (RDP for Windows)
DX NetOps Spectrum all currently supported releases
Either Windows or Linux based OS
Access the SpectroSERVER via ESX VM Console if this is VM based. This will allow OS level access to investigate.
Investigation in this example showed the primary network interface was unable to connect to the network gateway. Further investigation in the Windows Event logs showed that issue is due to conflicting IP addresses (another device on the network was using the same IP).
The system detected an address conflict for IP address 192.168.0.1 with the system having network hardware address 00-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX.
When the underlying server OS is inaccessible, this indicates a network (or even server) issue. This needs to be resolved before Spectrum can be brought back online.
