Issue/Introduction

The $AUTOSYS/bin/DBMaint script was overwritten during the upgrade from AutoSys 12.x to 24.x. As a result, customizations to the archive_events settings within the file were lost and replaced with default values.

Environment

Workload Automation AE (AutoSys) 12.x, 24.x

Resolution

The DBMaint file and its contents are overwritten during the upgrade process. To restore your customizations, you can update the new $AUTOSYS/bin/DBMaint file using the previous settings, which are preserved in the backup directory: $AUTOSYS_INSTALL_LOCATION/*bkp*/autosys/bin

Direct Documentation Reference: General Database Maintenance

Before restarting your scheduler after an upgrade, always compare the new $AUTOSYS/bin/DBMaint script with the backup version found in the *bkp* directory to ensure your specific data retention policies (e.g., archive_events days) are maintained.

Version Context: Broadcom is targeting version 26.0 to automatically retain the DBMaint settings during the upgrade process.
