Issue/Introduction

The admin@system user account displays a disconnected status. When you attempt to remediate the user, the UI shows a green success/completed response, but the disconnected status remains unchanged even after waiting 24 hours.

Environment

VCF Automation 9.x

Cause

Multiple password entries exist for the admin@system user in the Fleet Manager Locker UI. The remediation process fails because the system expects the older password still stored in the locker instead of the newly applied password.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to the Fleet Manager Locker UI at: https://[FleetManagerFQDN]/vcf-operations/ui/management/lifecycle/lcm/locker/password

  2. Review the password entries for the admin@system user.

  3. Identify and view the older password entry.

  4. Remediate the admin@system account using the older password.

  5. Wait for the standard 24-hour cycle to complete. The user will now display as connected.
