Issue/Introduction

The DX UIM Operator Console (OC) has an SNMP device self-certification extension that allows customers to expand their device monitoring footprint and impact. This guide was designed to help customers add new device certifications or edit existing ones to add their desired device monitoring metrics. You can edit existing metrics or add new metrics from vendor MIBs. The OC SelfCert webapp is used to achieve this goal. Use the SelfCert webapp if existing device metrics are not sufficient, or you have an unsupported SNMP-enabled device. Creating a custom vendor certification for a device replaces all the existing metric definitions with a new set.
