Issue/Introduction

Java agent is not being installed with WAS Servers. Implementing APM Java Agent (version 25.4) on IBM WebSphere with Java 8. The agent is working as expected on one server, however on other servers with a similar configuration, the agent is not initializing. Despite configuring the -javaagent parameter and performing multiple JVM restarts, no agent logs are generated and there are no “Introscope Agent” entries in the application logs, indicating that the agent is not being picked up by the JVM.

Resolution

After removing Dynatrace completely, APM agent started reporting to SaaS tenant. Now all agents are reporting as expected.
