Issue/Introduction

This article describes how to delete an empty folder from vSphere Client.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server 8.*

Resolution

The following procedure explains how to remove an empty folder from the vSphere Client.

1. Log in to the vSphere Client.
2. Navigate to the inventory view which including the target empty folder.
3. Verify that the target folder is empty.
4. Right-click the target folder and select Remove from Inventory.
   
5. Click CONFIRM in the confirmation dialog to complete the removal.
