The Automic Automation Engine (AE) becomes unresponsive, leading to a system outage. During this time, the Workload Processes (WPs) repeatedly throw error messages and generate forced memory trace dumps, indicating they are caught in an infinite loop.
Expected Behavior: The Automation Engine should remain stable and responsive. If a report cannot be saved, the system should log the error without causing a WP loop or system crash.
Actual Behavior: The AE hangs, and the WP logs display the following repeating error messages:
U00015006 System forced memory trace dump.
U00003631 Dump caused by:
U00004102 UCUREP: Program error - could not find AH - report will not be saved. Key: 'ACT'
U00011801 Error in Server routine 'UCGENX_R', Server: 'AESYSTEM#WP0XX' AE system: 'AESYSTEM'.
Product: Automic Wrokload Automation
Component: Automation Engine
Version: 24.4.x
DE181762 ,DE176572
To immediately eliminate the risk of a system-wide hang and WP looping, upgrade the Automation Engine to a version where defect DE176572 is resolved.
Fixed Versions: 24.4.2 HF1, 24.4.3, and 24.4.4.
Upgrading to version 24.4.4 is strongly recommended. It acts as a critical safety net. If the underlying missing AH record error (DE181762) occurs again after the upgrade, the WP will handle the error gracefully without entering an infinite loop, keeping the production system stable and avoiding the need for a cold start.
