Issue/Introduction

  • VCF Operations shows unexpected Microsoft CA certificates in the Fleet Management > Certificates > VCF Management page
  • The Certificates are showing to be Microsoft signed, even though the Fleet Manager was reverted to the VMCA signed cert

Environment

  • VCF Operations 9.0.x
  • VCF Fleet Manager 9.0.x

Cause

The Fleet Manager was reverted to the VMCA signed certificate manually via the appliance shell with the assistance of Broadcom VCF Support. Since an automated flow was not used, the internal database was not updated with the new certificate details.

Resolution

  1. Use the steps from the documentation to replace the Fleet Manager TLS certificate using one of the automated flows

Note: After replacing the certificate successfully, it can take up to 1 hour for the certificate details to be updated in the UI.
