Issue/Introduction

When attempting to do an Advanced Cross vCenter vMotion (XVM), you may encounter the following error: Error A specified parameter was not correct: relocateSpec

Environment

vCenter Server 8.0

Cause

This issue is caused when DRS is enabled which attempts to make a placement decision and fails to do so. 

Resolution

Instead of selecting a datastore or cluster object, manually select a host from inventory instead of allowing DRS to make a placement decision on a datastore or cluster.
