Issue/Introduction

After upgrading from Plex r7.0 to r7.2.1, the TCP/IP connection configuration screen is now displayed every time an application is launched from an application exe generated and built with Plex r7.2.1

Error: Obfuscating TCP/IP connection user passwords in the Plex runtime environment {#400000006}.

Environment

Release: CA Please 7.2.1

Resolution

The IBMi server password is encrypted (or more accurately “obfuscates”) and saved in application INI file if chosen to save the password.
The encryption routine takes local machine name also in consideration (though this makes no difference for r7.0), so copying the same INI file across different machines will not work.
As a simple workaround would be - clear the password in INI and then save the password on each system once and use the respective INI from each system.
Please refer to the Plex help section "Run-Time Initialization Files (.INI)" for INI deployment across different scenarios
