Issue/Introduction

  • vSAN File Service is enabled on a cluster where "dedicated failover host" is selected as the admission control policy.
  • Because virtual machine migration and power-on fail on a dedicated failover host, the vSAN File Service Agent VM fails to run.

Cause

This is an expected behavior.
Because virtual machine startup is restricted on a dedicated failover host,
it conflicts with the vSAN File Service, which requires the startup of an Agent VM on each host in the cluster.

Resolution

This configuration is not supported.
Please Select an admission control policy other than a dedicated failover host.

Additional Information

専用のフェールオーバーホストのアドミッションコントロールポリシーが設定されているクラスタでは、vSAN ファイルサービスはサポートしていません
