Issue/Introduction
How to request an end of support (EOS) download package the EDR server.
EOS packages will not be provided for production. A few exceptions are permitted:
Upgrade path testing.
Server migrations where the original server OS is not listed as compatible with a supported EDR server version, provided the new server is upgraded to a supported version immediately following the migration.
Environment
Carbon Black EDR: All unsupported versions
Resolution
Open a support case with the following information:
EDR Server version being requested.
OS and OS version where the package will be installed. OER
Reason for the request.
If all criteria is met:
Support will generate a yum cache file that can be used for local yum cache installation.
Installation will follow a similar approach to installing an air-gapped server starting at these steps.
Support will close the case once the tar.gz file has been provided with the local cache. No further support will be provided, any errors or issues during the installation/upgrade to the EOS version will not be entitled to product support assistance. This includes dependency issues that are likely to arise from providing a direct package.
Additional Information
Systems where the OS is listed as compatible with a supported EDR versions should be upgraded to a supported version.
