Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to ITMS 8.8.1, client machines are not imported into filters from *.txt or *.CSV files when the values are not comma-separated.

For example :

Importing machines using a *.txt or *.CSV file with values listed on separate lines:

For Example: 

Attempt to import the file into a filter .

After Import it shows blank result  



SMP Log Entry :


All 0 resources found in the file were successfully imported.

Environment

ITMS 8.8.1

Cause

This appears to be a change in input handling behavior introduced in ITMS 8.8.1. 

Resolution

This issue will be fixed in ITMS 8.8.2 release. 

There is a pointfix available for those with ITMS 8.8.1 release under our CUMULATIVE POST ITMS 8.8.1 POINT FIXES

Workaround:

Convert the list of machine names into a comma-separated format before importing the file into the filter.
