How does the setting Assign package to work in a hierarchy

Issue/Introduction

When creating a software release on the parent Symantec Management Platform and modifying the Assign package to setting, what should be expected to see on the child Symantec Management Platform server?

ITMS 8.x

Cause

Product is working as designed

Resolution

When you import a package on the parent SMP server and use the setting or any other setting as shown in the following screenshot:

I replicate that package down the hierarchy.  On the child SMP, it looks like this:

Before ITMS version 8.8.1, this was working as designed.  ITMS version 8.8.1 introduced a new feature that allows you to override and control the package server assignments on the child Symantec Management Platform server.
