Issue/Introduction

  • Deploying VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle or VCF Operations Fleet Management in SDDC Manager, the task fails during the appliance deployment phase.

  • SDDC Manager UI Reports VRSLCM_DEPLOYMENT_FAILED with a message suggesting network issues or Jumbo frames as below,

    UI error, "Deploy VCF Operations fleet management","status":"FAILED","errorCode":"VRSLCM_DEPLOYMENT_FAILED","errorType". "message":"VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle deployment failed.","remediationMessage":"Check if the Jumbo frames between SDDC Manager network and the VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle network are enabled and if the required ports listed at https://ports.esp.vmware.com are open.","causes":[],"referenceToken":"#####"}]},

Environment

Cause

A password error occurs if the deployment password contains forbidden substrings matching local account names (e.g., "root", "admin").

Resolution

Proceed to re-initiate the deployment workflow after editing the json spec to ensure the passwords meet the pre-requisite.
