Unable to add Tags and Notes to DLVM deployed from VCF Automation

Issue/Introduction

• DLVM of Private AI Foundation is deployed by vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS) from VCF Automation.
• Edit button of Tags and Notes widget are greyed out on the DLVM summary even through login vCenter Server with SSO administrator. 

Environment

VMware Private AI Foundation 9.0.x

Cause

DLVM deployed with VKS is managed entirely by WCP, and under normal operations, should not be modified directly by an end user. Therefore these objects are heavily restricted/read-only even for users in the Administrators group.

Resolution

To add Tags and Notes for DLVM deployed by VKS, bypass the WCP permission restriction. See Bypassing vSphere with Tanzu managed virtual machine permissions for troubleshooting purposes.

Note:

• Tags and Notes will be lost if DLVM was recreated by VKS. 
• Bypassing WCP permission is ONLY for troubleshooting purpose.
