vMotion wizard stuck at host compatibility check

Issue/Introduction

After restarting vpxd, when executing the vMotion migration wizard, the process is stuck in the "Validating..." state on the "Select a compute resource" screen.

Environment

vCenter Server 7.0

Cause

API requests from the wizard fail because restarting the vpxd service drops the connection between the vSphere Client and vpxd.

Resolution

Log out of the vSphere Client and log back in.
