We no longer have a need to model and monitor MultiCast models in Spectrum. What is the best way to destroy them?
1. Disable Multicast Discovery in any/all scheduled discovery configurations (it is disabled by default however if you have Multicast Models it was enabled during a discovery). This can be done by launching Discovery and verifying Multicast is disabled in the configuration. Select your configuration and click Modeling Options, then Network Services Options, then disable Multicast.
2. On the VNM increase the Total Model Destroy threads to 50 - Under SpectroSERVER Control open the Thread Information view.
Change from 15 to 50
3. Select the Multicast Manager model in OneClick
4. Navigate to the List view on the upper right Contents window.
5. Select all of the MCast Groups and hit the delete button.
That will remove all of the underlying/related models including those MCast Pingables (if they were discovered).
