Issue/Introduction

Action Items widget in Canvas does not display cards based on priority when language is other than English

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. In Classic Clarity create a process that sends 3 Action Items to the user logged in.
Each of the Action Items has got a different priority: Low, Medium, High
  2. Initiate the process so the Action Items are sent
  3. In MUX > Go to My Workspace > Action Items
  4. You see the Action Item cards colored based on the priority.
Green for Low, Yellow for Medium, Red for High
  5. Settings > Language > Set it to German, Spanish ...
  6. You see the Action Item cards colored based on the priority.
Green for Low, Yellow for Medium, Red for High
  7. Change language back to English
  8. MUX Administration > Blueprints > Make a copy of the Page blueprint
  9. Add a canvas that contains Action items
  10. Create a page and link it to the blueprint above
  11. Open the page and go to the Canvas created > Through Configure add the Action items widget
  12. Action items are displayed colored by the priority
  13. Settings > Language > Set it to German, Spanish ...

Expected Results: You see the Action Item cards colored based on the priority.
Green for Low, Yellow for Medium, Red for High
Actual Results: All Action Item cards default to Red

Environment

Clarity 16.3.X, 16.4.0, 16.4.1

Cause

This is caused by DE184203

Resolution

This is fixed in Clarity 16.4.2

Workaround:

You can color the cards by modifying the translations for the Action Item Priority lookup

  • Classic Clarity > Administration > Data Administration > Lookups
  • Find the Action Item Priority lookup (id. CAL_ACTIONITEM_PRIORITY)
  • Values tab > Translate world icon > Reset the desired language captions in English: Low, Medium, High
  • Once the captions are in English at lookup level, the cards will be colored appropriately, but the priority label value will display in English
