Data Center Security (DCS) child process does not retain the parent sandbox

Issue/Introduction

You created a custom application rule and sandbox (cust_appX_ps) and observed that the child process is routed to the Default Windows Programs and Services (def_winsvc_ps) sandbox rather than cust_appX_ps.

Environment

DCS 6.9.x

DCS 6.10.x

 

Cause

This is a known issue that was fixed in SDCSSPreventionPolicyPack-v6.10.2-m6.0.0-2026030603 policy pack.

Resolution

1. Import policy pack SDCSSPreventionPolicyPack-v6.10.2-m6.0.0-2026030603.zip or higher 

2. Backup existing policy

3. Update the policy where inheritance problem occurred to the version defined in #1
