You may encounter a high volume of alerts related to masked rules or other otherwise harmless alarms within the VCF Operations for Networks interface.
These alerts can clutter the "Open Problems" section, leading to a requirement to both archive existing instances and suppress future occurrences of the same alert type.
VCF Operations for Networks
Alerts rules are triggered based on default inclusion rules within the platform's analysis engine.
To archive existing alerts and deactivate future "masked rule" alerts, perform the following steps:
Navigate to the Open Problems section of the Homepage and select the target masked rule alert. Alternatively, search for "Problems" in the search bar and select the alert from the results.
Click the More Options menu (represented by three vertical dots) located on the specific alert.
Select Archive.
In the resulting configuration window, select Disable all alerts of this type in future for.
Choose all entities for global suppression, or specify individual entities if targeted suppression is required.
Click SAVE to apply the configuration.
Note: Applying this configuration updates the inclusion and exclusion rules to prevent future triggers. Existing alerts will remain in their current state until they are manually archived.
For further details on alert management, refer to the technical documentation: Deactivate an Alert.
