Export Data widget on dashboard chart or table is not clickable

Issue/Introduction

You have created a custom Dashboard in the UIM Business Intelligence/Dashboard Designer portlet which contains one or more Table or Chart widgets.

When viewing the dashboard, each chart contains an icon for exporting the data to CSV, but on one or more of the charts, the icon is not clickable, and does not appear to have any function.

For the charts that work correctly, when you hover over the icon, a tooltip pops up that says "Export Data" but on the non-working charts, the tooltip does not appear.

Cause

This can occur if an empty part of a text label or other widget is in front of the export widget on the chart/table.

 

Resolution

Edit the dashboard in the designer, and highlight the text label above the chart.

Shrink/move the edge of the label so that the empty space does not cover the same space as the export widget.

 

You can also try selecting the chart/table and click the "Move to Front" button, then highlight the text label and click "Move to Back".
