How to test a Symantec VIP hard token, VIP Access mobile app or VIP Desktop app

Resolution

Visit this Symantec VIP page to test your VIP Credential ID.

1. Select the TEST button.

2. Enter the complete VIP Credential ID or Serial Number of your hard token or VIP access app (enter no spaces). Examples:

 

3. Allow your device to generate a fresh security code for each test. 

Testing the VIP app on your mobile device:

• Accept the PUSH notification. 
• Didn't receive your push notification? Select Test with Security Code option, then enter the security code. 
• Click here to review PUSH notification troubleshooting. 

Testing a VIP hard token or VIP Access desktop app:

• Enter the security code shown on the display. 
• Allow the device to generate a fresh code before trying again. 
• Click here to review invalid security code troubleshooting. 

Getting error Enter a valid Credential ID? Confirm you are entering the complete credential ID (no spaces) from the device, including all letters and numbers. If the error persists, contact your VIP helpdesk or Broadcom support..
