Issue/Introduction

• You may see the error 'Failed to load queries: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out' when navigating the UI.
• VCF/Aria Operations primary or worker nodes are intermittently showing as disconnected with no evidence of Cassandra corruption and no evidence off too many open files in Cassandra logs
• Slowness experienced when logging into the UI

Environment

VCF/Aria Operations for Logs 8.18.x

Cause

A recently resolved storage outage may have affected the underlying storage assigned to the appliances in vCenter.

Resolution

1. Verify df -h completes in a timely fashion via ssh as root on all the nodes, review this article if df -h responds as expected.
2. If df -h is hanging and not returning any output perform a restart of the appliances per the documented procedure.
