Question:
How to release a job when CA Jobtrac is on hold?
Answer:
Individual jobs can be released to run while the schedule is on hold by using the * and FORCE command from the ISPF panels. This allows the job to be submitted for execution even if CA Jobtrac is on hold. To issue this command, place the * on the line next to the job to be forced, then type FORCE on the command line and press Enter. The job is then allowed to run, even if CA Jobtrac is on hold. The job is still subject to any dependencies that it can have and is only released when all of its dependencies are satisfied. This command does not force jobs to run when the checkpoint is locked.
As always, please contact CA Technologies support for CA Jobtrac Job Management if you have further questions.
