Issue/Introduction

When attempting to do a Migration from HCX, we are receiving the following error:

vMotion failed. System Error. Source side error is : Source side relocate failed for the virtual machine. The vMotion migrations failed because the ESX hosts were not able to connect over the vMotion network. Check the vMotion network settings and physical network configuration. msg.vmotion.connect.failure:The vMotion migrations failed because the ESX hosts were not able to connect over the vMotion network. Cause

vMotion VMK is on a Standard Switch and the IX Appliance is on a Virtual Distributed Switch (VDS/DVS). 

Resolution

Please engage your physical networking team to validate all vLANS are correctly configured on TOR for all ESX uplinks
