ConnectAll SaaS ConnectALL

Issue/Introduction

Integrations using the Flat File adapter in a cloud environment may fail to establish a connection. This typically occurs when network security settings or firewalls block communication between the Broadcom SaaS infrastructure and the customer's hosted SFTP server or internal resource.

Environment

  • ConnectALL SaaS
  • Flat File Adapter
  • SFTP Server (Internal or Hosted)

Cause

Broadcom SaaS infrastructure firewalls block outbound SFTP (Port 22) connections by default for security. Communication is also blocked if the customer's internal firewall does not permit traffic from Broadcom SaaS IP addresses.

Resolution

To resolve the connection failure, both Broadcom and the customer must update their respective firewall configurations:

  1. Request Outbound Access from Broadcom:
    • Open a support ticket to request that outbound SFTP connections be enabled for your SaaS environment.
    • Support will coordinate with the DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure teams to whitelist the destination IP.
  2. Whitelists Broadcom IPs on Customer Infrastructure:
    • If the SFTP server is behind a customer firewall, Port 22 must be opened to allow incoming traffic from Broadcom.
    • Request the specific outbound SaaS IP addresses from Broadcom Support to complete your local mapping.

Additional Information

  • Note: Broadcom infrastructure updates can require a lead time of approximately two weeks.
