How to resolve "GetCpuInfo failed" error

Issue/Introduction
Problem:
cdm probe reports "CheckCpuInfo - GetCpuInfo failed (error)" on cdm.log, then publishes alarm.
Environment:
This problem can occur on any Microsoft Windows.
Cause:
The cause may be missing or corrupting performance counter libraries.
Resolution:
The performance counter information is stored in registry subkey "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Perflib\009".
If no registry values are existed in the registry subkey, rebuilding performance library values will be needed with the procedure on the link below.
