VCF Automation admin account gets disconnected intermittently in the Fleet Management web interface

Issue/Introduction

  • In VCF Fleet management, under Password section, VCF Automation admin account is showing as disconnected.

       

  • Upon updating & remediating the password, the VCFA admin account gets connected however it gets disconnected eventually over a period of time.
  • You will be able to login to the VCF Automation web UI using the same password.
  • Inventory sync from the Fleet Management for the VCF automation gets completed successfully.
  • Below Log experts are seen in Fleet Management logs.

Environment

VCF Automation 9.0.x
VCF Fleet Management 9.0.x

Cause

Admin password status task has been failing due to invalid FQDN / VCFA node hostname being used to make the admin password check connection.

Resolution

This cosmetic issue on the Passwords UI is known to Broadcom Engineering team and is expected to be addressed in the upcoming release of VCFA 9.1.x
 

Additional Information

Risk / Impact: There is no adverse effects to the password feature other than the admin account status shows as disconnected within the Password UI in the Fleet Management.
