Issue/Introduction

The following difference has been discovered between ITCM 14.5 and ITCM 14.6.

In version 14.5, the process amDCSPlugin.exe appears to be persistent.

In version 14.6 however, this process seems to start only when required rather than running continuously.

Cause

Deprecated SCAP feature

Resolution

The 'amDCSPlugin' process is related to the SCAP feature

However, this feature has been deprecated in ITCM 14.6, as documented in the 14.6 Release Notes

The change in the behavior is expected considering that the SCAP feature is no longer used in 14.6.

The following KB article has a command in deploywrapper to remove SCAP.

A reminder that all changes are recommended to be tested in a non-PROD environment first.
