After applying CA Business Intelligence (CABI) 4.1 SP5, receive error when attempting to save Web Intelligence (WEBI)reports: "The document's serialization version is too recent (Error: WIS 30915)"

CA Business Intelligence (CABI) 4.1 SP5

Supported Windows Server OS

Cause

CABI Query Builder reveals what would appear to be an incorrect version number for the Web Intelligence application.

Run the following query within the CABI Query Builder to confirm:

SELECT SI_ID, SI_NAME, SI_FILENAME, SI_WEBI_SERIALIZATION_VERSION FROM CI_APPOBJECTS WHERE SI_KIND = 'WebIntelligence'

Output similar to the following will appear:

Note that the SI_WEBI_SERIALIZATION_VERSION value is not at the CABI 4.1 SP5 version

Resolution

1. Via the Central Configuration Manager (CCM), stop the SIA service/process

2. Backup the CABI CMS database

3. Via Windows Explorer, navigate to the following folder:

CommonReporting4\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dfo\dfo_XXXX

4. Copy the 'BusinessObjects_WebIntelligence_dfo.xml' file from this directory to the following directory

CommonReporting4\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\packages

5. Via the Central Configuration Manager (CCM), start the SIA service/process

6. Wait a few minutes for the package to be deployed

7. Access CABI and attempt to save a CABI WEBI report
