Accessing tenant portal from provider access returns "An error happened during connection. Contact the administrator" in VMware Cloud Director

Issue/Introduction

When logged in as a System Administrator in the provider portal we are unable to access specific tenants. When attempting to access specific tenant orgs the following is returned: "An error happened during connection. Contact the administrator".

There is only local authentication configured. There is no multi-site configuration, changing of the organization URL, and the provider portal is accessed by the same domain name. 

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.x

Cause

There are firewall rules only allowing specific IPs to access the tenant org.

Resolution

Check IP sets from within the tenant organization (see Custom Grouping Objects for NSX Data Center for vSphere Edge Gateways in the VMware Cloud Director Tenant Portal) to see if IP sets were configured. Networking traffic to the tenant organization URL may have to be examined outside of Cloud Director to ensure firewall rules are not blocking access.
