I have a new ACF2 lpar and I am trying to issue a BACKVOL CDS command to DFSMSHSM and it hangs until I shutdown and cancel the region. I get S438 - 0239001c abend

Issue/Introduction

We have just IPLd a new lpar with CA ACF2 fo z/OS.
I am running DFSMSHSM and trying to issue a BACKVOL CDS command.

The HSM system hangs.

I try to shutdown DFSMSHSM  but it still hangs.
I cancel it. 
It ends with S438 abend with reason code 0239001C

Resolution

Whilst looking at JOBLOGS and SYSLOGS i notice that there are messages ACF01004 for
some missing logonids for som DFSMSHSM started tasks
e.g. ARCMIGR

When I created a logonid for the STC it resolved the problem and the function worked correctly.
Either create separate logonids for each task or ensure that there is  a default STC logonid defined 
in the C(GSO) OPTS record.
