Question

How to relocate the FileStore within CA Business Intelligence (CABI) 4.1?

Answer

1.  Log into the Central Management Console (CMC) as Administrator

2.  Click 'Servers'

3.  Stop both the Input and Output File Repository Servers

4.  Via Windows Explorer on the CABI Server, move the contents from the current FileStore location to a shorter path.  The default FileStore location is 'CA\SC\CommonReporting4\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\FileStore\Input' and 'CA\SC\CommonReporting4\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\FileStore\Output'

For example, move Input FileStore to C:\FileStore\Input

Repeat this step for each of the File Repository Server (Input and Output)

5.  Back in the CMC, perform the following

a.  Right Click and select 'Properties' on the Input File Repository server

b.  Edit the 'File Store Directory:' and 'Temporary Directory:' to point to the new location

c.  Select 'Save & Close'

d.  Restart the server

e.  Perform steps a-d above for the Output File Repository server

6.  Check that existing CABI reports are still working as expected to ensure that the new File Repository location is correctly set
