Issue/Introduction

Based on our observations, the probe currently includes the following status messages:

  • Upcoming Today
  • Active (In Maintenance)
  • Expired
  • Upcoming Tomorrow
  • Upcoming Next Week
  • Future
  • Upcoming Next Month
The customer described 4 enhancement requests that will need to be reviewed by Engineering and Development and Product Management.

Here are the proposed enhancements/changes to the UIMAPI and maintenance_mode schedule callbacks:
  • We propose restricting the possible values for the "status" key in the callback to a maximum of three: Expired, Active, and Future. The callback key "csMaintenanceStatus" can, however, remain unchanged and continue to provide the descriptive status.

  • Furthermore, we require the end date of the schedule for recurring maintenance schedules.

  • For recurring maintenance schedules with a defined recurrence pattern, the term "upcoming" can confuse users regarding recurring events.

    • Using phrases such as "recurring next month" or "recurring next week" would provide greater clarity.

  • Also, we would like to explore options for displaying recurring schedule patterns in a more user-friendly textual format.

Environment

  • DX UIM 23.4 CU6 or higher

Cause

  • Enhancement requests
