Issue/Introduction

Question:

We have a standby environment for the Primary UIM Server.
The standby environment is supposed to be up when the Primary UIM Server is unavailable.
We need Admin Console to be available in the standby environment when the Primary UIM Server is unavailable.
What probes are required to be deployed in the standby environment ?

Environment:

CA UIM version 8.2

Answer:

The following probes are required:

  • automated_deployment_engine
  • mpse
  • ppm
  • service_host
  • ids_services
  • monitoring_services
  • admin_console
  • uimserver_home

Additional Information:

The data_engine probe is required to be up in order to run the service_host probe.

If you are using HA probe in the standby environment to verify the Primary UIM Server's status, the order of [Probes to enable] section is important because the service_host probe must be activated AFTER the data_engine is activated.
