Degraded Enclosure or Degraded Expander in Dell storage array

Issue/Introduction

The Powervault Manager in the Dell VA084 storage array is showing a Degraded Enclosure as well as a Degraded Expander.  

These messages are visible from the "Table" tab when the System icon is selected.

Dell VA084 storage array
Dell VA012 storage array

Cause

This is usually due to a hardware issue with one of the controllers in the storage array. 

Resolution

Download a storage log bundle from the Powervault Manager screen and open a support case.  Dell will analyze the logs and determine the next steps to resolution.
