Environment

VCF Operations 9.x
VCF Operations For Logs 9.x

Cause

VCF Operations for Logs hostname (FQDN) defined during product deployment do not match to the Certificate's Subject Alternative Name (SAN) causing deployment failure.

Resolution

  1. Take snapshot of VCF Operations nodes (Create a Snapshot of VCF Operations) and VCF Operations Fleet manager appliance.
  2. Delete failed VCF Operations for Logs component from Fleet Manager.
    • Log in to VCF Operations.
    • Navigate to: Fleet Management → Lifecycle → VCF Management → Components.
    • Select VCF Operations for Logs component and delete it.
  3. Retry deployment of VCF Operations for Logs using correct hostname that matches exactly with certificate's SAN fields (Validate certificate SAN field after importing certificate during deployment).
