Issue/Introduction

Confirm IBM Storage Virtualize Family Storage Replication Adapter compatibility for SRM/VLSR

Cause

The compatibility listing for IBM Storage Virtualize Family SRA 3.7.1 and VLSR 9.0 in the HCL contains inaccurate information.

Resolution

Effective 20 August 2025, Broadcom will no longer certify Storage Replication Adapters (SRAs).  While certification ends, storage array-based replication remains supported through VMware Live Site Recovery. Partners will continue to develop and distribute SRAs independently and list them on their own websites.

Moving forward, SRAs will no longer appear in the Broadcom Compatibility Guide (BCG). Customers seeking Partner-released SRAs after 20 August 2025 should contact the respective Partner directly. Previously certified SRAs will remain listed in the BCG until the associated version of Live Site Recovery reaches its end of support.
